The Ice-Skating Association of India (ISAI) is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002 that serves as the official governing body for figure skating and speed skating in India. As a member of the International Skating Union (ISU) and Asian Skating Union (ASU), it is our duty to oversee the rules, standards, development and promotion of figure and speed skating in India. ISAI is duly recognized and a member of the Indian Olympic Association. The association has the vision to provide an opportunity to everyone who has passion for the sport of ice skating in order to fulfill their dreams and compete national and internationally.
As the official governing body for competitive figure skating and speed skating, our aim is to bring about a spirit of competitiveness by generating interest in the sport by organizing domestic competitions as well as take part in Championships overseas. The thrust going forward is to expand further with a thrust on training and certification programs for coaches and officials, as well as the creation of grassroot programs to promote participation in the sport.
LEADERSHIP
Mr. Amitabh, Sharma took over as the President of Ice-Skating Association of India in August 2022.
He is also the Member of the Executive Council of Indian Olympic Association (The National Olympic Committee). Under his dynamic leadership, the association is promoting and developing the sport while providing a positive and inclusive environment to the entire team of athletes, coaches, officials and administrators.
